The Inspired Fourplay SE is the top specification of Inspired’s 24" street bike range. It uses short chainstays and a low bottom bracket for a responsive ride. The frame features a butted tubeset with external gussets, an integrated tapered head tube, and a hollow chainstay/bottom bracket yoke for strength, stiffness and tyre clearance while keeping weight low.
A 12mm bolt-through rear axle secures the wheel. Both frame and fork use reinforced Post Mount disc brake fittings, with no adaptors required. The fork has a tapered steerer, 20mm through-axle with captive hardware, and increased tyre and brake hose clearance.
This bike is fitted with Cane Creek eeWings titanium cranks with a direct-mount sprocket/bashring courtesy of Inspired. These cranks weigh in similarly to carbon fibre cranksets while being virtually indestructible. A 30mm axle guarantees unsurpassed stiffness.
Another notable addition to the spec is the use of the latest Industry Nine Hydra hub. The latest iteration features less rolling resistance, a stronger axle and better seals. For trials riders though, the main benefit will come from increasing the already ludicrous amount of engagement points up to 878.
In combination with the 22:16 gear ratio, the effective amount of engagement points per crank rotation is over 1200, resulting in instantaneous response to even the smallest input at speed. To complete the wheels, the front and rear hubs are hand built to Inspired V3 tubeless-ready rims with lightweight Sapim spokes and finished off with a first for Inspired – Cast Stunt Double tyres.
