Extention 7075-T6 Trial BB24 crankset

Extention crankset for front screw-on sprockets made from high grade stiff 7075 alloy. Cost effective alternative to expensive BB30 systems, the BB24 offers a significant improvement in drivetrain rigidity and response compared to classic ISIS axles.

As with all cranks used in trials and street-trials, extra care should be taken to ensure pedals are always tight. Riding with loose pedals may cause irreversable damage to the crank pedal threads. It is recommended to install pedals through a washer. If you do not have pedal washers and would like them included, please let us know in the comment section. 

The crank bolt is intended for bearing preload only and should only be tightened so much as to remove play from the cranks while allowing the cranks to spin freely. In order to avoid the bolt coming loose while riding it can be tightened further only after the bearing preload has been set and the left crank arm has been securely clamped onto the axle. A small dab of thread lock such as Loctite 243 or nail varnish can also be used.

If cranks do not spin freely once play has been removed, loosen the crank arm, counterrotate the bolt by a few degrees and re-tighten the cranks. 

Should the cranks either be tight or have play, consider having the BB shell on the frame faced as this is usually the cause. The BB is supplied with nylon spacers which somewhat even out minor imperfections in frame manufacturing but may not always fix the underlying issue.
